Rare Earth World Space Quiz 2021 is a unique twin-theme quiz focused on
climate change and space exploration.

Who is organizing this quiz?
This quiz is part of several such initiatives of the IARF declared International Year of Life in Space 2021. It is organized by IARC Centre for Science & Culture and supported by ICUN COP Program of Indian Astrobiology Research Foundation.

What are participation categories?
During registration, please choose one of the three categories;

Juniors: Grade 6 to 8
Seniors: Grade 9 to 12
Advanced: Undergraduate and above

Why is a fee charged?
Rare Earth World Space Quiz aids in capacity building of Indian Astrobiology Research Foundation (see iarf.res.in/about) and hence your contribution helps in capacity building of various space research as well as education & outreach projects IARF is to undertake during International Year of Life in Space 2021.

Please note, all our programs (including this quiz) are offered at no cost to;

1. No-fee access – National-level
Students from Municipal Schools & High Schools in India
Students enrolled through Right to Education in India in any school
Students from all Indian Army Public Schools

2. No-fee access – International-level
Worldwide – Students from government run schools for the economically-underprivileged students comparable to municipal school system in India

What is the size of the Question Bank?
The questions are randomized from 2000 questions

What is the duration of the final quiz and how many questions?
50 questions in 15 minutes

How many times can I attempt the quiz?
It is strictly One Attempt Only

Can I attempt the quiz again by re-registering through a different email address?
Yes you can, and here too, it is strictly One Attempt Only

What are the questions based on? Are they tough to answer?
The questions are based on topics related to space sciences, space economy and space industry. The participant can get an idea of the nature of the questions by attempting several of the special quizzes – the special quiz questions are part of the main question bank.

After attempting the Main Quiz, when will I get my E-certificate?
You can download your E-certificate (pdf) immediately after you have finished the Main Quiz – the E-certificate will also reflect your Grade Points.
